WHAT ARE SUNSPOTS?

Sunspots refer to a skin condition called "solar lentigines" or "lentigo senilis." These are flat, light to dark brown spots that develop on the skin due to prolonged exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. They are more commonly seen in older individuals, but they can also appear in younger people with significant sun exposure.

Sunspots are benign and do not pose any health risks, but they can be a cosmetic concern for some individuals. They are different from freckles, which are usually smaller and lighter in color. Sunspots are more prominent and tend to be larger.

Here, at Bloom Spa LLC, we can provide you with a treatment to reduce the appearance of sunspots on your skin.
